Hey i need to know how to change the php code of the gallery so the thumbnails are shown to the right of the main video player, not at the buttom…..

I used your iframe to see if it works, and it did.

However I will still need to use my iframe for the links to work.

Now the video isn’t displaying, which I don’t understand because I haven’t changed anything. I tried adjusting the permissions on the folder and files but it made no difference.

I was looking in the plugin, and the error should only display when:
(!$data), when $data is the file_get_contents($api_url). The API Url displays fine when I go to it:
http://api.vodpod.com/v2/users/bgallz/collections/bgallz/videos.xml?api_key=1993b813d6cc8293&sort=ranking&per_page=1

Brian,

I have updated my site to 3.1 and everything still works ok. So I don’t think that’s what’s causing the 404 error. I used your exact iframe link but substituted my domain and the thumbnails come through ok:
http://xondie.com/resources/wp-content/plugins/vodpod-video-gallery/vodpod_gallery_thumbs.php?u=bgallz&c=bgallz&vpp=8

So I think it’s a server issue of some sort. I’m not exactly sure what is causing it. Possibly you have too strict of permissions on the video gallery plugin folder or on the files within the gallery plugin? I’d try adjusting those permissions and see if it helps.

Tonya, this plugin requires WordPress in order to work. It cannot by just pasting HTML.

Brian, I know I’ve seen this problem before, but am not sure off hand why it isn’t working. I can look at this for you on Thursday – so sorry for the delay.

Hi, this is a really great plug in! I would like to know that if I upload videos to your site, can I upload the video gallery to any website or blog by pasting in some HTML code? I do not use WordPress yet, so that is why I was asking.

I am using WordPress 3.1. I am not sure if it is compatible entirely with the newest version because on my page the plugin doesn’t show a proper iframe. It shows an iframe to a 404 error page.

It should show the thumbnails and pagination from:
http://bgallz.org/wp-content/plugins/vodpod-video-gallery/vodpod_gallery_thumbs.php?u=bgallz&c=bgallz&vpp=8

But that is a 404 error.

The one here doesn’t do that:

The latest version of the plugin fixes the backslash issue. Next time your plugin asks you to update, that bug should be fixed
